Meh, The good, the bad, and the ugly. 1st time here but have been coming to Wire Park since the opening. Awesome decor! Super cozy and cool vibe. Service started out great. Got an app and some cocktails. OMG the tots with the pork belly was fire!!!! The cocktails were expertly crafted, my marg was perfect!!!! Dishes: I got the bulleit grilled chicken with bacon. Presentation was very basic. She got the salmon, cooked well and very well presented with the asparagus. Oh, my Gouda Mac? OMG awesome creamygoudaishiousness. Maybe a touch of salt, but I can live with it and would order it again. Then things started to grind down. We ordered pecan pie with a scoop of ice cream, coulda gone out back to harvest them nuts. Why did it take soooo long? Server could have got us rung up while the kitchen was on the pecan harvest. Server was a little ghostly at the end. We sat down at 5:30 and it was a Wednesday, I’d pray for the staff on a busy weekend night. Know what I’m sayin’? Manager can out for his mandatory table check, he should be monitoring ticket times and using a slack weekday evening to tune the team up for prime time! The ugly- No toilet paper in the ladies room!?!?!? Obvious management and staff’s lack of attention to detail. Inexcusable. Glad we tried it. Overall the decor, food, and drinks were good. Definitely wouldn’t chance it on a busy night. Hopefully they’re seeking continuous improvement and striving for greatness.

Our server Jack truly made our entire experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and came prepared with suggestions. He was very attentive and offered the best service I think we have ever had. The atmosphere and food were exceptionally notable, but the service was outstanding. This was our first time here and we can’t wait to return.

We sat at the bar as there was a long wait. The bartender had a great personality and kept us entertained as we ate. We had the Crispy Deviled Eggs and while my wife wasn't a fan, I loved them. I also really enjoyed the Pecan Crusted Salmon and my wife loved her Bulleit Bacon Chicken.

We had problems but it turned out great. My wife had searched for a new place for us to try and we were excited to go to Southern Prospects. The outdoor patio was just what we were looking for and the menu had several options for our dietary restrictions. We ordered, going over the detailed restrictions with our server. The food arrived and looked great at first glance. But as we looked deeper both plates were wrong. Each plate contained meat which we don’t eat. The staff including the manager quickly jumped in and took care of the problem and new plates arrived very shortly. The food was great, prices reasonable and staff very attentive. Because they owned the situation, apologized and took care of the issues we look forward to going back. Clearly they understand customer service and value their customers.

If you get a chance to try this place, go! Without hesitation! The cocktails, appetizers, mains and sides are absolutely phenomenal! A highlight was also their tremendous bread pudding. I love bread pudding and this was among the best I've ever had! We enjoyed the entire experience! Our server/bartender, Emily, was incredible! Personable, attentive and spot on with recommendations. She tied the whole experience together with a bow! Just go already! You won't be disappointed!

Just moved to the area (Statham) and this came up on Google as a nearby place to eat and I’m so glad it did. I didn’t even know this whole area existed in Watkinsville. Southern Prospect has a great atmosphere and the food is just as good. Our waitress was attentive and super nice! We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for a bite after visiting the brewery across the way, food was on point, service was friendly and fast, Charles was amazing! I had the smash burger with fries and my wife had the chicken salad sandwich with asparagus and we both cleaned our plates! Would highly recommend!

I had an excellent time during my first visit to Southern Prospect. Charles and William made me feel right at home, the food was perfect, and I think this is close to my favorite place in the Athens area now. Especially if I need to have a business lunch, this will definitely be the place I choose.
